CARNIVAL RIDES FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY AND THREE DAY FESTIVAL
This annual event is our biggest library Fundraiser and great fun for the entire family! Enjoy the many craft booths and food vendors at our festival as well as live music & performances. You'll enjoy carnival rides and midway each day and great live music....and maybe even experience a fly in of Oklahoma Pilots and their Vintage Aircraft! There's fun for everyone so come on out and join us!
We start the festival Thursday evening with Summertime Amusements Carnival & Midway, which runs all three days, and some great music by local Performers, Blake Reynolds followed by Winters Fall. We’ll have music on the street from 7 –10 p.m.
On Friday evening we’re organizing a special event called Jesus Jam featuring performances by PURE HEART, The HIRED GUNS, and HOMBRE SUCIO! This event is an opportunity for Christian Rock performers to share their music and message with young people in our area. We’ll start at 7 p.m. and performances will end around 11:00 p.m. The schedule is still open for performers so we’d love to hear from you! If we get an overflow in scheduling, well, we can start a little earlier and maybe end a wee bit later!

Saturday morning Rep. Lisa Billy opens the Main Day of our Festival! We’ll have musical performances all day, craft and food booths, and some great new additions to our festival…Bob Kemper, recently the Director of the Wiley Post Heritage Flight Center, has organized a Fly-in by the WILEY POST FLYERS! This group of aviators will be flying over our festival and landing at a nearby private air strip and then joining us for the festival! Pilots scheduled at this date are Michael and Rebecca Way, Sid Emmert, D. Ken Rogers, Herb Driskill, and Kelly Pietrowicz (who pilots a vintage bi-plane and performs aerobatics). And we may be adding to that list!
(ATTN PILOTS: You'll be landing on the private airstrip of Mr. Joe Grimes just southwest of Maysville. BYOTD. There will be periodic shuttles to transport you and your passengers to the festival)

The Northwest OKC Radio Control Model Airplane Club will also be attending. They’ll be putting on a display and demonstration on the grounds of the future site of the Wiley Post Museum and Elliott Lassater Maysville Public Library! Another attraction is "Fearless Flying Fred the Farmers Friend, Escott. He's a former crop duster who is bringing a jet powered Kawasaki motorcycle for display and his grandson's small airplane that's been converted into a “go-kart” for kid rides.
There may even be
more to see by the time we get done!

Saturday’s musical performances begin with local teen sensation Chesney Moore, followed by my favorite 4th Grader Carlie Jones. The festival also welcomes Michael Bendure, Jim Edwards & Miss Anna Massey to our event. And of course, the festival just wouldn’t be complete without our own local heroes RUDE MOOD closing the night with a Hot Rockin' Country Fried Concert ending our festival at midnight!
. Check back later for more event and performer information!
